Ananthu belongs to Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. He used to practice singing since young and was encouraged by friends and teachers. When in college he formed an orchestra and started showing his talent in the premise. He later shifted to Chennai and then met M.S Vishwanathan(MSV).
