    Jean Maurice Eugène Clément Cocteau (KOK-toh, kok-TOH; French:[ʒɑ̃mɔʁisøʒɛnklemɑ̃kɔkto]; 5 July – 11 October ) was a French poet, playwright, novelist, designer, film director, visual artist and critic.
